Thanks everyone for the feedback! Yes, a faster shutter speed would have helped so much to capture the hummingbird moth. He just sort of photo-bombed my shooting and I was so excited to capture the moment. I went back through my images from the day and was looking at the metadata of all the moth pictures and noticed that the last couple of images had a shutter speed of 1/1600sec (see the attached image) so I must have changed my settings just before he left the garden area. As you can see, it still didn't freeze the motion of the wings. |
