Very beautiful image! And I love the black background and the stroke around the edge that matches the primary color in the flower! Well done! |

I love this image, and definitely prefer the color version. Those beautiful colors in the mask are such a treat! I do think the lights and pen removed would be better for my tastes, but I love the color version just as it is too! I spent a year in Thailand in the early 70's - many happy memories from there! |

Interesting subject, focus and lighting. Since you mentioned cropping, I would have cropped it down to eliminate that ceiling and those chairs/stools on the right. Is that a curved ceiling? Seemed like your horizon was off but I think the ceiling was making me feel that way. Nice image overall! |

Nice shot Kurt. Agree with the edits that Angela posted, especially the removal of the nails! Nice when you can get a cooperative wildlife subject, if only the gull had turned it's body so you weren't seeing the shaded side! LOL.

Topaz Photo AI has a 30 day trial, I think. I have found it very useful for sharpening, noise reduction and upscaling images. |

I love macro photography for the ability to show details that are not normally available without the aid of magnification! This is an awesome image and I appreciate your explaination of the techniques used to create and capture the Gerbera reflections! While I was very impressed with the number of reflections you achieved on the wire, I really wanted to see a closer up view. So per my own preferences, I imported the image into Topaz Photo AI to upscale and sharpen the results to facilitate a close in crop. Then I imported the image into LightRoom Classic to achive the desired crop, then used the masking tool to select the backgroun where I adjust the shadows down, highlights up, and increased the saturation way up. Great job on this interesting image and sharing your techniques with the group! |
