Thanks a bunch for your helpful feedback, Frans! I do use the Orton Effect occasionally. I worked on an image yesterday, and this morning I had a sudden urge to try it out with the Orton Effect. Now that I've read your suggestion for my posted image, I'll have to brush up on my skills with the OE and see what I can come up with. Thanks again! |

Hey Janet! You captured a really cool moment! It's always tough when the lighting isn't what we wanted. But you did an awesome job with the shot and the editing. You asked for suggestions, so here's one: if it were my image and I had this incredible chance, I'd try to lower my camera angle. I'd shoot more from the bird's level. Again, I don't know the situation, but if it was possible to get a bit lower, I think it would make for a better composition. You should be really proud of your image - it's impressive! |

Hey Ginny, I absolutely love this photo! You've done an amazing job capturing the subject's softness and fragility. I think the lack of sun really made this photo stand out. In bright sunlight, the contrast might have been too harsh for such a delicate subject.
