8 Apr 26 Comment I like this one a lot. In particular, I like that if you hadn't told us, I would not be sure if I was looking up or down! A nicely organized image of a disorienting array of planes, angles, and openings. Well seen! Apr 18th
8 Apr 26 Comment I agree that the image overall, and especially the cranes, are too bright. I'm noticing how much my eyes want to linger on the lovely tones Sue got in her version. I also like her crop, removing the far shore but leaving its reflection. A wonderful image and worth a second pass at processing! Apr 18th
8 Apr 26 Comment This one strikes me as a very playful celebration of geometry. It makes me smile! Apr 18th
8 Apr 26 Comment I love how the flowers and butterfly create an arch of yellow, and the background color is a beautiful complement. Good idea to photograph this from a low angle. Apr 18th
8 Apr 26 Comment Very cool! I quite like the light coming through the eagle's tail feathers, and how that connects to the sunlight peaking in on the right edge of the frame. I do feel that the eagle is getting upstaged by all that background, but hate the idea of loosing that sun. So here's a radical crop that breaks some rules, but which I think makes the eagle the clear star of the show, while still including enough herons and nests to tell the whole story. What do you think? Is it too radical? Apr 18th
8 Apr 26 Comment A lovely scene beautifully captured! Like everyone else, I'm enjoying how the road is placed in the image. In particular, where it hits the horizon creates a golden ratio between the left and the right. I think this works much better for an image like this than putting it on the third. If this were mine I might crop up from the bottom and in a bit from both sides, so that the road hits the horizon at the vertical golden ratio as well. You'd loose two of the trunks on the left and almost all of the yellow flowers on the right. As pretty as those yellow flowers are, they do compete with the rest of the scene, pulling my eye to the edge of the frame. I don't think cropping out a good chunk of the bottom hurts, but what do you think? Apr 18th
