For me, there is just the right amount of connection between the light and the light spill to have them share a frame while offering strong visual contrast. I like that the bright light is at the lower right, like a period to the delicate gradient created by the light spill. Well made, Alastair. |

I agree it could use a little breathing room. What an interesting frieze! It has a whimsical/playful feel to it, especially the bottom panel. The clockwise tilt may add to that feeling, I'm not sure. A counterclockwise tilt would not have the same effect. |

What was your favorite memory from visiting the Aquarium? I really love the exhibits where the fish swim in a continuous circle. There's one with sardines (or anchovies?) in a tube, and then there's one where they swim around the outside of a room. I wonder why they all swim in the same counterclockwise direction. |
