I also don't mind the red roof. I'm curious why you didn't darken the bland white foreground if it bothers you. I agree, it is a bit harsh. |

She stands out nicely against the dark background, which has just enough light to provide a sense of place. I agree about cropping in from the right. It is often suggested that one leave a good about of space to the side where someone is looking, but I think this is a good situation to break that "rule". |

I like that you caught them both as their weight is just about to transfer into their forward feet, which enhances the sense of moment. And the clear differences in their demeanors/postures creates interest. I'd take a look at it with the left side cropped out. I'm not sure that part adds much to the story. |

I think this works very well. The Lensbaby gives this a "calm in the middle of a storm" look, which fits the story of maintaining mental clarity while actively engaged in a struggle. Nice work! |
