8 Mar 25 Comment Thanks for all the encouraging comments everyone! Mar 26th
8 Mar 25 Comment Including the temple behind the meditating figure was an interesting choice. I want to embrace the quiet and simplicity of the clouds on the left, but the bright colors and shapes on the right keep drawing me back. I find that as I breath in, my eyes go right, and as I breath out, they drift back left. I have come to think of those bright buildings as representing the busy thoughts in the back of the meditator's mind that meditation quiets. I have no idea if that was in your mind when you made this, Sukumar, but that's how this image works on me. Mar 26th
8 Mar 25 Comment Yep, perfect is the word that comes to my mind as well, right down to the catch light in this beauty's eyes. Mar 26th
8 Mar 25 Comment A very simple and solid composition. I enjoy it mostly as an abstract, but also enjoy the details of water and frost that tell me it is a real thing. I also like those red highlights from your jacket. Mar 26th
8 Mar 25 Comment I like how you positioned the pole star in the frame. The center of the circle and the mound of trees both draw my eye to the right of the frame, and the star trails lead back to the left, so this composition keeps my eyes moving, which I think is a good thing. Mar 26th
8 Mar 25 Comment I find it compelling and sad that the sunflowers have captured snow instead of sunlight. Wonderfully bleak, with good repetition of vertical elements.
(Edit)
Also, including all that space to the left of your subjects sidelines them in a way that enhances their appearance of misery. Nice job on this. I do hope you also captured one of just the sunflowers though, as Pinaki suggested. I saw an image this morning that reminded me of these sunflowers. It was a burnt forest, but each tree was framed separately, all the frames lined up, with some up/down variations that added interest (for me). Here's a link if you want to take a look (I think it is temporary): https://photoplacegallery.com/online-juried-shows/ruins-and-remnants/gallery/exhibition-gallery#lg=exhibition-gallery&slide=6

8 Mar 25 Comment Zabriskie Point! I very much like how you composed this with the ridge running along the bottom and then up to the darker structure at the top, a natural leading line. The colors are amazing. I'm guessing you took this either just before sunrise or just after sunset, to get the even light and saturated colors. Am I right? Mar 26th
