I agree with Cindy about the back lighting. This turns it from a normal bird in flight shot to something a little more special.
I do like what you manage to do with your iPhone but lets see some more DSLR images :) |

I agree with the others about the edits. I do find on the left hand side just above the branch the blotch? a little distracting.
As you used a macro I'm wondering how big this animal is? |

I agree with the others about the angle. I also have a lot of trees out front of home & am trying to work out a way to not get multiple shots of the underneath of my subjects.

I do like that you have chosen to reflect this lion in his natural environment. The only thing I personally find a little distraction is the grass in front of the rock in the lower right hand side |
