Lance - This image reminds me of an expressionist painting. I love how the prickly shape of saw palmettoes conflict with the smoothness of the tree trunk. Also, the fact that the ripples are only in the bottom two thirds of the picture adds another dimension to the journey my eyes take on your picture. |

Clark - Amazing image! It so reminds me of a sandworm from the movie Dune. I love how you imagined this image and then made it a reality without relying on a fisheye obviously... Job well done! |

Elsie - Amazing how switching to B&W flattens the depth of the picture. Similar to the presence of a pot in my picture this month, your pumpkin adds tension in the picture. I love it! Also, the pumpkin is the only smooth object; everything else is very coarse. Well done! |

Don - I really like the sun exploding behind the peak. Your HDR work was fabulous. As a "minimalist" photographer, I'm wondering if the branches at the bottom right are distracting from the overall theme since they are not really leading lines and disrupt the overall mirror of the peak in the water. But clearly it's just me... |

Adi - Sobering image in as much as it makes me think about increasing water levels. Ironically, I will be using this theme in my picture next month. Technically, you did a great job of balancing the brightness of the sky (but not too much) with the gloomy water. |

Suggestions of reality? The reality I see is that of a horror movie in which the guy with the chainsaw is hidden just on the other side of the curve... ;-) Well done! I'll have to try that technique |
