Lance, this picture is a brilliant example of something that can only be done in analog film. At least, I don't know how to ADD noise to a picture. Everyone always wants to remove it, even buying plugins that specialize in that. However, in your case it really adds a great dimension to the picture, even getting more prominent through the landscape layers. |

Adi - Just like Michael, I was thinking about this picture being inspired by Lance's way of seeing things. I love how the sun is lighting the tree trunk. Did you bring out those highlights in post-processing or captured them in camera. Then again, why am I asking: magicians never tell! |

Elsie, thanks for your kind words. Brilliant idea of opening the left side of the picture, it's a little detail, but it offers more breathing room. |

Thank you for your kind words Lance. Still, unlike your pictures, this one only touches 2 of one's senses: eyes of course, I hope, and ears because of the wind rustling through the plants and the buildings. |

Hmmm, interesting suggestion of breaking the angular patterns with a face or a roundish object. Now, why didn't I think of that! |

Clark - I love the 200 (?) year contrast, or is it conflict, between the buildings. Would it have been possible to show less of the sky and more of the lower parts of the buildings and church? Either way, I very much enjoy modern architecture so this picture really resonates with me. Thank you! |

Don - This picture reminds me of work done in the 50s. The noise, the lighting, the posing, the negative space, the angle of sight, they all fit very well together! My only suggestion would be to tone down the light on the right side of the picture. Don't eliminate it, just tone it down so that it doesn't compete with the engineer. Overall, an awesome picture. |

Very intriguing composition. I love the pigeon looking at me then realizing that so is the painted couple in the window. Finally the 2 Saints anker a powerful triangle. Job well done! |
