14 Nov 18 Comment I think this is an extraordinary portrait made under challenging conditions. I agree with Arun's characterization of her expression as inquisitive--to catch that in a social interaction between tourist and proud native is amazing.. The saturated colors of her dress do not overwhelm her jewelry which in turn do not overwhelm her face. The bright spots on her face do not overwhelm the shadowed. The grass is just right to not overwhelm the woman. Well done! the only thing that bothers me are the double lights reflected in her eyes--you did not use flash, so I do not know where the lights originate nor how to fix them. Nov 15th
14 Nov 18 Comment Nice to meet you, Mr. L. You are really quite fetching. I love the composition of your curved back and tail. I like your "whiskers" You are nicely lit. I am not so sure about the hunk of wood (driftwood). It is a bit dark and hard to make out. But I suspect if it were lighter it would compete too much with Mr. lizard. Maybe a smaller rock or less-textured hunk of wood might be more complementary. Nov 10th
14 Nov 18 Comment I agree with all the comments. like the simplicity of the composition and the deep purple. Focus is good--aften a challenge with orchids and other flowers.

14 Nov 18 Comment I agree with the Oliver's b&w transformation. As I said I like abstractions of real objects and this is a great example! No further suggestions.

14 Nov 18 Reply I have also seen the LA Gehry. Like the Case building other building are too close. I have also seen the Guggenheim in Balboa, northern Spain which has better setting--a river and a bridge. As for the shadows, perhaps I over reacted in trying to get a true black Nov 10th
14 Nov 18 Comment I love this image and this bridge. I have tried to photograph similarly constructed bridges but you have to get the right light to show the "stays". Which you did. I have mixed feelings on the little boat--I like the beauty of the bridge alone and the boat detail is hard to make out. I agree with others on lightening the water and foliage. Nov 10th
