oops, I forgot this one! I agree a great photo. I also second Larry's suggested cropping. |

Interesting image. I cannot determine from your description how you got from b& w to this near-line drawing. I agree it is rather busy. Larry's changes to reduce the linear appearance helps simplify a bit. I would take off the horses. the horse leg and the carriage? on the right. Then you get a prosperous fat man giving alms to a young beggar--but No! that is not your picture! I apologize for destroying your image in an overzealous attempt at simplifying. |

Wow, what a great bear! I have been reading a collection of Sherlock Holmes stories and recently reread "Hound of the Baskervillss" and just picture this fierce-looking fellow bounding across the moor, mouth dripping florescent paint. But no, it's hungry bear and your image is right on with good composition and color choices. The texture of the waterfall is a bit overwhelming and almost obscures what I take to be salmon in the right part of the photo. I am a bit challenged in understanding your workshop instructions but it sounds like lots of fum and challenging too and takes me back to assorted workshop and assignments in years gone by. |

I too sam disturbed b y the green water. Way too much of it. I agree with Larry the white should be white. However I do like the green of the delicate leaves; their stillness offers peaceful contrast with the rushing water and that contrast with the rocks in the lower part & semi-circular mini-waterfalls |

Thanks Evan. I did not rotate the image--I took it with the camera in the vertical position--which showed up as horizontal when downloaded. The deck railings are horizontal in the image and were in real life! |

lovely winter scene. I find the unusual composition intriguing--the overall panorama and the fenced circle, I find the tiny bush, 2nd fro right distracting and sort of sticking out like sore them. I see no logical reason or the darker tone--no shadow from a larger tree I would lighten it. |
