I agree this is a gorgeous sunset and with the suggestion of toning down the red and yellow. I find the bird is too much in the center ("bulls-eye" guideline). My remedy would be to crop off the leafless trees on the right plus a couple of the adjacent trees with leaves. |

wow! Interesting comments and differences of opinion. I have tried several times over the years to capture the simplicity of design and perspective. I generally felt I failed and never enlarged or edited. Usually I regarded people as distracting. Which is why I think your people are a delightful addition. They humanize to soaring columns and I find the fellow busily texting adds humor to the mix. I do agree that the "light at the end of the tunnel" that isn't does distract. I think I go along with the editing but not Terry's all monochrome. |

I like the dreamy look of your initial submission. It reminds me a bit of my recent "Enchanted Forest" in which lack of contrast made the picture. While I agree in general, with Larry, about having some pure white & pure black in monochromes but go for the "generally recognized" part of his comment. I take "rules" to be "guidelines" that occasionally need to be ignored! Vignetting is one I am not fond of but here it is subtle enough I did not take notice until I read your "how I did it"! |

My first thought was that it was a miner resting! No matter, it is striking and tells a story, even if I "read" the wrong one. Colors are dramatic and serve to dwarf you Bedoin. I would not want to crop. As for being too dark? Why not use the Dodge Tool with a brush approximating his size? |

I agree with remarks by Arun nd Terry. In addition I find the overall composition pleasing. Not sure what the "Center of Interest" is other than the whole composition. There are bits and pieces that attract my eye as I wander (figuratively) around the view, but none distract from the whole. I would look forward to sitting here for an hour or more enjoying the peace |
