I fear I am not as pleased with the composition as the rest of you. I find the flowers distractingly out of focus. And the bee also is out of focus. The background yellow and green shapes are not sufficiently out of focus I do agree the diagonal line helps. I do not see how the rest can be retrieved. I am sorry, Pat, to be so harsh. Larry tried valiantly. But to my eye his thumbnail looks like a pleasant impressionistic composition of blue and green blobs with a dab of brown. Just call me a Grinch! |

For me the composition as presented is great. Sweeping diagonal lines divvy up the scene into diagonal thirds--pure fog, fog drifting billowing around a hill of mountain partially concealing, partially revealing the forest. Then the bottom third for little fog, with trees dominating. I would not change a thing! |

Tjamls for compliments & suggestions. I agree you should have the shoji screen dividers complete. I agree the top bar should be straight and fully black.I did try cloning the top black edge from other blacks but someho the colors did not want to cooperate! If I enlarge it I will try again. Finall, the white border was internal and 4 pixels--or at least that is what I tried for. An earlier veersion was used on the cover of my church's Membership Directory. Except I had the bench slanting badl! When I observed this major defect I was told by non-photographers that I was too fussy! |

I do not want to crop from the bottom as I think the reflected building is essential. Darkeking the sky helps but since you can't go back to take it again, I would suggest adding to the canvs to give the "real" buildings more breathing room. |

Nice composition, nice photo with contrasting child's colorful outfit and the car decoration. You were really quick to be able to captrue it. Only one thing wrong: nothing is green! you did say it was St. Pats Day? |

After all you described your ?studio? a little bit ago! As for the culture question, I got dinged on that because of Chines and Japanese cultures do not. I would count Hebrew as a part of our culture, albeit a minority position. |

Dramatic and lovely! Colors great--not over saturated. My only problem is that the line of boats and horizon are right smack dab in the middle. The boats do help conceal this somewhat. But since I don't know what you cropped--top or bottom or why I can't make a suggestion |

Poor fellow. Was the photographer ensconced with coffee inside a warm room? You have caught the lean and hungry look sand the cold snowy scene. Only suggestion would be to flip him so he leaving the frame as one (in our culture), left to right |

Interesting image, unconventional but creative. I like Larry's suggestions on colors. For me the composition has the drill too nearly centered. you need the hose as a leading line. I would suggest cropping a bit off the right sid to "move" the drill to the rule of thirds posion. |
