You captured the chef very well. He looks both happy and busy. I also like the darker background. With street photography others in the background can be distracting and by darkening the background you bring the focus to the chef. But I noticed the line around the chef also. I'm not sure how to fix it, but it is a little distracting. Good Shot! |

Thanks Stephen. You are correct in Newton's Cradle also shows conservation of momentum, but I thought the shot was getting a little busy, so I went with just kinetic energy. I will give Angela's suggestion a try when I get a chance. I have not tried blending photographs before. It will be a good learning opportunity. |

Hi Mark. Welcome to Group 81. Good photograph. I really like the black background, and the way the light hits the cat's face is really good. A couple of small things to consider: In the upper left corner there is some non-black background that is a little distracting, as is the white patch in the lower right. Otherwise really nice shot. |

Good timing on the shot. The dog does look very curious. I liked your edits. The change to the background and blurring out the furniture really helped. I had the same thought as Angela, you just needed to increase the exposure a little. Good photo. |

You certainly picked a good subject for decay. I'm always amazed how abandoned buildings fall apart over time, but they do make good subject matter. I like how one of the rooms is better lit than the others. It adds to the mystery of what happened to this hospital. The photo is very sharp and you really see a lot of the detail. Great shot! |

As usual, very creative with your ideas. In the final version it does appear that the donut is flying through the air, and the sugar is flying off of it. I'm not sure if that is what you were intending, but this is a good shot. I have the same experience in that sometimes my subject doesn't want to lean the way I want it to, but the needle seems to have done the trick for you. Great job on the edits. Maybe the focus on the donut could be a tiny bit better, but that is the only nitpick I have. Great shot. |

Hi Angela. The light is made by Godox. It is the ES 45 E-Sport LED Light. Kit. The changes to the temperature are subtle, but not too subtle. I end up with some trial and error, but feel like I am getting the hang of it.
I never thought to blend two different photos. I did use a manual focus, and focused on the balls that were meant to stay stationary, but you are right, the banging caused some movement there. But I appreciate the feedback. |
