Hi Tom. The image is really sharp, and the edits do a great job of showing the people in the covered wagon. The detail in the wagon is also much better in the edited version. The only suggestion I have is maybe play a little with the background, and don't brighten that as much as the rest of the photograph. I think that might help the covered wagon and horses standout more. |

Congratulations on your retirement. I am nearing the second anniversary of mine, and I really hope you enjoy yours as much as I do.
I think the shadows in the photo are well done. They add a feeling of the beginning of the day. You also did well to get the ocean into the shot.
Something you might want to play with. In photoshop express there is something called dehaze that I use regularly with the sky. A small adjustment will bring out the blue of the sky and white of the clouds. |

Hi Randall,
You are correct, this is a photograph of art, not architecture. I need to do better at distinguishing. I have not heard the term documentary shot before, and I can look into that. Attached is an updated version with a tighter crop, and it does show much more detail. Thanks for the feedback, I do appreciate it. |

Randall. I really like the reflections. That is something that I do a lot, so I am glad to see someone else do this. The still water really keeps the detail in the reflection. I agree that the photo is a little blue. Reducing that gives a more natural look to the background. Good photograph. |

Janet. There is a lot that I like about what you have done. The shot is very focused and shows a lot of detail, and there are good shadows and good exposure. Changing the background really helps the goat stand out also. The black frame does not show up very well in the browser, so I can't comment on that. But excellent shot. |

Hi Rose. Good street shot. I think it is a good story shot, with the concentration of the artist, the interested third party, and what appears to be a young person who is a little bored. I really like the darkening of the paintings. That really brought out the detail. Just a 'proof reading' note: There is a blue blob on the right side of final photo that is not in the original. I find it a little distracting. Good Shot! |

Hi Angela,
I have attached a straight on shot of the state capital building with text of about where I was standing when I took the shot. As you can see, the capital building is a very large building, and I was standing at an extreme angle. What you were trying to crop is actually part of the same building. If you were trying to crop out the sphere on top of the column, you can see there is a something that matches on the left.
Thanks |

Another good still life. I like the white on white with the vase and the background. A lot of people are afraid to do that, but it can come out really well. I also like that that you made the right corner uniform and added the keyline. Good shot. |
