Thanks Randall. The cropping was a good suggestion. The tower is more prominent in the photo, and the plane looks a little bigger also. Thanks again. |

The hummingbird is very sharp, so is your hand holding the treat. It must have been tough to hold the phone and get the shot. I thought the top shelf in the background looked a little crooked, but I'm not sure what you can do about that, other than the cropping Angela suggested. Good shot! |

I am also impressed that you can crop so much and still have such a sharp image. This is also a good action shot, with the skiers in focus, and the water spray a little blurred. Maybe play with the cropping a little, leaving a little room on the left to give more of an impression that the skiers are going somewhere. Good shot! |

Very nice shot. Image is very sharp, and the exposure is right on. I don't have much luck with such high ISO settings, but you seemed to have that mastered with slight adjustments for noise. Well done. |

Thanks Rose. That is a very nice compliment. Just FYI, I took this at a very wide angle, 17mm. I don't know what you have for lenses but thought I should mention that I was having a hard time getting a good shot even at 25mm. |

Hi Angela. I called the airline, and they insisted that there was nothing they could do about the size of their planes ;). Seriously, I wished the plane was a little bigger also, but I was surprised it flew over at all. I have earned and used well aver 300,000 frequent flyer miles, and I have never flown right over downtown Minneapolis like that. I was just happy to get the shot. |

Hi Rose. It is always tough to get shots of birds, and getting one with recently captured food is really good. I like the reflections a lot also, and that the reflections are a little distorted shows that the catch for dinner was recent. This is very picky, given that the heron's natural colors are meant to provide camouflage, but maybe adding a little contrast between the heron and the reflection of the trees would help. But a very good photograph. |

Hi Angela. I had to look up what helicon focus means, but it appears you were combining several photos. This is not something I have tried before. But the end result is good. Removing the side of the window, removing whatever that white thing is on the cactus, and brightening the photo are all really good. But I can't really pick up on the vignette. It must be very subtle. Good shot. |
