Meredith, late comments are just as appreciated. I learn a lot by varying the conditions of each set of images I create. Sometimes I get a pleasant surprise, other times, I just lay an egg. |

Per your recommendations, I removed the green spot on the original picture. |

Thank you all for your encouragement and suggestions. I created this alternate color egg shell at the same time, this one have some cracks and seems to be more realistic and abstract at the same time. Not sure if posting two images in one month is breaking the rules or not, but I am always trying new things/procedures. |

Ricarda, this and table top projects is a good one to engage in when it is 110 degrees outside under the Arizona sun. Glad you like the colors, the food color box comes with 4 colors, just lucked out. |

Great shot, Bob. Birds are interacting, just the right color and saturation on their coat. Perhaps a little bit of post processing to blur and lower the bright background would enhance the action; and remove the distracting small branch in front of the left bird's eyeball. |

Peter, such a cute Snow Monkey showing it's carefree wanton nature. Great shot with the action plus frozen water, again such a good "not a care in the world" expression. Minimal improvement is make the contrast about 10% to 15% and see if you can make it pop even more. |

Bob, thank you for your input. Here is how I did it but you will need the following.
Red food coloring, a soft latex like wireless charger, a flashlight with different color, black background on table top.
With the exception of the glowing latex wireless charger, everything is light painted in. Set shutter speed to about 10 seconds and paint with the light. Longer if you want to add an elaborate background.
There are no harsh shadow on the egg because I use the edge of the light beam and kept it moving.
Have fun trial and error method used. Let me know how you did. |

Love the ice bright red color against the green foliage; which is just blurred enough to relish but not distract. I think LR basic will allow you to mask the greyish background and make it slightly darker. If you want to spend more time practicing LR, put a slight glow behind the red flower to accentuate it. Anyway, that is what I just learned in the recently concluded Light Room Summit by David Cross and a host of LR teachers. |

Going from left to right and top to bottom, I like the progression of the cookies being magically reduced in size. No doubt the milk helps in the process. This is a good story telling image, at least to me 1 hour before dinner time. I enjoy looking at the image. |
