I love how a still image can seem to be in motion by the way you captured this dance pose. Lightning is perfect showing the beautiful toned muscles of her legs and arms. I bet you wished the background is rolled out all the way. Great job shooting under a lot of pressure with photographers in a line. |

Ricarda Dudek, I appreciate your detailed assessment of the image. The subject was not easy to capture due to his large head, making his eyes, nose, mouth proportionally smaller than normal. I was thinking of cropping off the top part of the head to minimize the large forehead. |

I like the soft and relaxed feeling this image imparts. The brown tones made it almost a monochrome of browns. It might helped to boost the contrast minimally to help identify the main subject, which I am guessing are the spectacles supported by a secondary object, the open book. Perhaps a shift of composition placing the spectacles/book off center to the right would also increase its appeal. |

Hi Delian, you held the horizontal and vertical lines pretty close to true. The bright bars present an interesting contrast to the what is inside. The reflection of the sky, if you wanted it to be sharp, could have been shot at f11, but then it depends if you can set the ISO to 1000 and held steady at 1/30 sec. It is a good pleasing image overall. |
