Group Round C/R Comment Date Image
30 Aug 25 Reply You're welcome. I understand that many on here do photography primarily as a hobby and as a result spend alot of time in post. Having shot commercially for the past several years my goal is always to get things as perfect in camera as possible so I can spend minimal time editing/retouching which I don't really enjoy. 30 Aug 25 Comment I find the criticism of the sky and pole both valid, however knowing the image was going to be on the cover with a logo over most of it I didn't worry to much. I understand that it could be better but shooting commercially is a little different things just have to be good enough and not perfect as one often has several images to go through and deadlines to meet. I also figure if it's good enough for publication it's a decent photo. I have worked as a guest photographer at Sea World and the Daytona International Speedway. The goal is to take decent photos and fast so you can get as many as possible. As a result you can't be too particular and as long as you follow the guidelines and it's halfway decent the guests usually buy them and everything is shot in jpeg. Could they be better, sure but the more time you take the less groups you get and you get evaluated on that. I also worked at JCPenney where we only had 15 minutes to do a family shoot and could take a maximum of 30 images. Aug 7th
30 Aug 25 Comment I like the sky, I don't think the wires matter that much as the magazine logo covers it. Aug 4th
30 Aug 25 Comment I really like this, your horizon looks a little off though. Aug 4th
30 Aug 25 Comment At first I thought you could have cropped more but upon further examination I like the off center feel and how it appears the deer is moving to the left. Aug 4th
30 Aug 25 Comment I read your description and I understand you were going for a more abstract look, however I would have preferred a faster shutter speed to make the fish look sharper. Aug 4th

30 Aug 25 Comment Interesting composition I like how you caught her reflection in the mirror, I also think this would look good in monochrome. Aug 4th
30 Aug 25 Comment I like the composition but I find the bicycle in the foreground distracting. Aug 4th
