Hi Michael,
It's a beautiful capture of this fungus with all the details in sharp focus and also showing the gills. It appears to be backlit. I would be interested to know if you introduced some artifical light or is this just natural light? Every detail of the fungus is sharp, did you use focus stacking to achieve that?
I like the subdued colouring in the image, but I do agree with Kieu-Hanh that the texture overlay is a little to heavy. I get the arty feel, but maybe a lighter texture. Cheers. |

I saw it as providing context as part of the scene, I hadn't tried a tighter crop, but I think your crop makes a stronger image. Thank you that's great feedback. |

Happy New Year. I love the futuristic architecture. The image works for me very well with the centrally placed subject, the soft overcast light and muted colours. The few people help to give scale. The only change I would consider would be to crop it square and maybe lose a little sky. Overall a very nice architectural image.
