Hi Robert, it's a fantastic subject with such dramatic cliffs and colours. The tree appears to be backlit looking at the shadows and therefore appears dark against the background and disappears a little. I wondered if it would stand out better at a different time of day when lit from the front to bring out the green and help it stand out. |

Hi Ruth, I like the dramatic lighting which has been accentuated with the darkening of the clouds and contrast against the brilliant colour of the trees beyond. Lightening the foreground certainly helped complete a great image.

Hi Michael, thank you I understand you are saying but not sure if darkening makes it look a little unnatural. I think it would be better if the background had more motion blur, so probably better to try again on another subject. Cheers. |
