The lizard is sharp and the profile view is the best you can get under the circumstances. These are such difficult subjects in terms of composition. Either your frame is elongated as Pierre did or you get a lot of extraneous elements in the frame. The other option would be to crop very tight on its face and upper body (longer lens or in software). |

Very nice shot. The nature of the background in contrast with the owl, gives it a 3-dimensional feel, almost as if you could reach out and pluck the owl out of the frame. I don't know what it is, but the sharpness all round almost makes it look like a cut-out placed on the perch. I agree with darkening the BG and possibly adding a vignette. |

I love the composition with the two topi calves at a run. The light is awesome. The depth of field is nicely done keeping the two in focus. Topaz Ai helps too! For a good sense of movement a shutter speed of 1/500, panning the camera would enhance the sense of motion. I have countless frames that have found themselves in the trash with my attempt at panning at slower speeds. But when they do jive, the results are beautiful. |
