Thank you Mervyn. I hope the trip goes well. In the shade, lighting is tricky. Expose to the right and make sure you keep your highlights in check. You will be surprised how good your photographs look once you process them a little. Some of these pictures look washed out straight out of the camera but bring the histogram to the left during processing and everything looks better. Good luck. I like the play of red and yellow but would have gone with a higher f-stop; maybe f5.6-8, since you are using a 50mm lens a very small f-stop would put the whole background in focus and that is probably not the look you are looking for. |

Love the picture. The focus-stacking works great. The colors are great and the out of focus elements give the picture a nice, dreamy quality. That little wisp of something at the bottom of the frame could be removed as it is a little distracting. |

Beautiful bird. I feel that the colors, although quite vivid, still appear a little undersaturated. Maybe a little dehaze in LR might help. Although I am a huge fan of the eye-level shot the water ripples surrounding the bird give a unique perspective. |
