Well, a lot of work to get a lovely image! I followed your explanation, and although I understand that movement might not be apparent on the vase (and on the fallen petals), I still don't see why there isn't movement on the flowers in the vase. I like the subtle background, which complements very well the main subject. To me, the muted tones are perfect for the message you want to convey. |

I was there once and got a lot of lovely slides from Peggy's Cove, maybe one of the most interesting places where I photographed. You rescued a picture with good composition (especially after the cropping) but with terrible light. The sky replacement looks seamless and natural. I'm happy with your final image. |

I like your post-processing. It does look artificial, but it produced a good final result, almost as if it were an infrared exposure. The picture also tells a story, with all the needed elements. The cow is on the right spot. They are almost invisible, but I keep noticing the two wires running across the top of the frame. Maybe you want to get rid of them. |

A nice composition with the steam coming out from the center of the picture to the top left, against the rocky background and blue sky. The two rocks on the foreground provide a good anchor point to the composition. It might be my monitor, but I find the light a little harsh, especially on the ground. When (time of day) did you take the picture? |

I wonder what was more trouble: to pick your digital camera and macro lens, or to do all the post-processing on the iphoto. Anyway, the final result was worth the trouble. The flowers stand up against the blurred background, which was not the case in the original. I like their positioning, moving in a kind of semi-circle from the bottom to the top. Sharpness looks very good, and the colors are very pleasant. My only suggestion would be to clone out the stems coming out of the right petal of the top flower and of the white flower at the bottom. |
