26 Sep 23 Comment A very nice, well represented, story behind this picture. Since I prefer in-camera rather post-processing manipulation, I like that you produced the dream-like mood with the scarf. It's true that the image is perhaps too wide, but cropping it as suggested by Bob would eliminate the sailboat, which is part of the story. I agree with converting it to B&W. Only comment: as others had said, I would eliminate the bright reed almost in front of her face. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Comment I like the mood of this photo, enhanced by the composition and the rising mist, with the mountain in the background. I can find several layers within the picture, which gives a sense of depth. All works well for me. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Comment I was almost on the same spot, but more than 25 years ago and shooting slides, so no chances of post-processing! I like the final composition, with the contrast between the red buildings and the yellow boats. It conveys very well the atmosphere of this beautiful town. The post-processing doesn't show in the final image, and everything looks very sharp. I didn't notice the car, since its red on red. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Comment A nice picture showing the elephants' behavior. They say that it's best to have an odd number of subjects, and you have them, in different sizes. You left enough space for the animals to walk in. The muted colors are a plus. My comment is that I find the elephants too centered vertically. It looks as if you cropped the original, in which case I would have brought them to the lower third and left more space at the top. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Comment What I like the most in this photo is the composition, with parallel diagonal lines in the left tree, the neck of the giraffe, and even the trees on the right. The Kilimanjaro in the background serves to anchor the main scene. Nice, muted tones, typical of the African savannah. I don't see anything that can be improved. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Comment The cropping made the bees prominent, which are not easy to find in the original. For the rest, all your post-processing worked very well, and it is not noticeable in the final version, including the cloned leaves. I like the composition, with the contrast between the pink of the flower and the green of the leaves. You managed to get two dark triangles on the upper left and lower right corner, which brings the focus to the main subject. Sep 19th
26 Sep 23 Reply There are countless way to crop the original. I like your idea, since it makes the picture more abstract. I decided to keep some trees from the original, to show that there is still some green in the middle of this cement jungle. Sep 19th
