It is a very intriguing image, although I cannot relate it with the title you gave it. I'm surely missing something about Hugo Simberg. Regarding the photo, I prefer the more subtle tonality of the original, rather than the more contrasty final version. I wouldn't have cropped so tightly, and would have left part of the top, which looks like trees (it's most probably dirt) and more from the bottom. |

I like the B&W conversion, but with a cropping from the left like the colored version, even if the curved path is not so prominent. Since you don't have the two trees on the left, you can crop a little from the top. Both images are very subtle and, as you said, it's just a matter of taste. |

I normally tend to crop tightly, but here it is much better to have more space, and more context, to admire the flower. I wouldn't even take some of the dark space from the bottom. The lighting is perfect and the composition very pleasant. Just one small comment: get rid of the bright spot on the edge of the leaf, approximately ¼ from the top on the left. Congratulations! |

It's amazing what you got from the top of a (I assume, moving) tourist bus. The contrast you wanted to show between old and new is there. Everything looks straight, and the geometrical shapes of the background building are what, to me, make this photo. Good decision to convert it to B&W. My only observation is that I find the old building not as sharp as the new one, which is understandable considering how you took the photo. |

It is a very powerful composition, helped by the use of B&W instead of color. It is interesting that the tops of the buildings are all almost on the same diagonal, converging to the apex and dropping fast to the right. Everything works well for me here, with a full range of tones. The repetition of the windows on the main building is surely a plus. |

I see the third flower as having a "different" but not "wrong" color. Maybe the shadows played a role there, but altogether it doesn't look artificial. Good work on pumping up the colors; and excellent composition, with a leading upward diagonal. I wouldn't change anything. |
