I like the mood of this image and its subtle colors. Actually, I don't have anything to contribute on how to improve it in terms of composition or tonality. Being extremely picky, I could suggest that you crop a little from the left, eliminating half of the purple foliage and bringing the trees closer to the border. |

Welcome to the group Terry! And thank you very much for the detailed description of your post-processing. It is remarkable how you got such a sharp image of the bird despite the heavy cropping of the original. Because the owl is lightly tilted, the picture is more dynamic. I'm not sure whether after all this post-processing the image still qualifies for the nature category. If not, I would suggest that you remove the two white (out of focus) twigs between where the head meets its left wing, and the bright spot over the middle of its head. |

You didn't catch the moon, but you did get an outstanding picture. The light beam going from the top left corner to the ship on the bottom right is what makes this photo. Congratulations on your timing! For the rest, nothing to add to an excellent composition, since I like the clouds as they are. |

This is a very appealing street scene. The signs of the barber shops bring the viewer to the bright area in the background, where the two people add interest to the whole image. You managed to get everything very well exposed, with a lot of detail in the darker areas. Maybe Bob is correct and some cropping from the right could help with the composition; how much is up to you. |

I admire your persistence and patience! Sometimes while on the field, sometimes in post-processing. Here you didn't do much in post-processing but endured a lot while taking the shot. But, as usual, your efforts paid off. It is interesting the contrast between the church and the massive hill, but because of the bright color on the church the image looks balanced. The clouds are an added bonus to the scene. My only suggestion would be to remove the two poles to the right of the church. |

It is a very mysterious image. Maybe too mysterious, since without your explanation I couldn't decipher what it was. My eyes go to the bright sphere, but it is difficult to see exactly what is rendered there. You definitely need the blurred person in the background to counterweigh the main element in the picture. Converting to B&W was the right decision. |
