I like this interesting portrait, with an appealing pose and very unusual hat. Everything is in focus, although you shot at f/2.8, which is remarkable. Lighting is spot-on, but I have second thoughts about the vignette. It helps concentrate on the subject, but I find it too obvious, and I would make it subtler. I also see a line in the background going down from the top, a little to the left of the "ship;" maybe you want to clone it out.		 Mar 19th
26 Mar 22 Comment Definitely, the color version. It separates the elements better than the B&W, and the warm light on his face and beard is a plus. You captured the atmosphere perfectly, with the smoke contributing to the whole picture. As Tony suggested, I would crop a little from the left, since there seems to be too much empty space. Mar 15th
26 Mar 22 Comment Nice picture, with the muted red and green tones. It does give the feeling of a storm, and the composition is right on the money. The more I look at the barn, the more I see a face: two eyes, a nose, and an open mouth. I didn't find anything to improve. Mar 6th
26 Mar 22 Comment Another interesting environmental portrait; although, to me, not as powerful as the one from last month. It is clear the story this photo is telling, and the bunch of clothes provides a good framing to the lady. I find particularly interesting the contrast between the light area where she sits and the darker surrounding borders. I would even increase the contrast with some vignetting. By the way, she is perfectly lit. Mar 6th
26 Mar 22 Comment Good juxtaposition of the tractor with the flowers; both color wise (red vs. yellow) and man-made vs. nature. You managed to hide the open space of the tractor but, as you said, the image is too tight on the right. I would add some space there. Also, the clouds make the sky more interesting, but I find the blue not natural; some color correction might be needed. Mar 6th
