A very impressionistic image, almost like a painting. I love that you achieved the effects in-camera. The contrast between the in-focus water fountain and the blurred background (where everything is recognizable) works extremely well. The color palette is the right one for this image. I agree with Bob that you might want to darken the bright spot left to the tree. |

A very pleasant picture! I was once on top of the mountain at sunset, and the spectacle is breathtaking; you have captured the mood. The couple watching the sunset really adds to the whole image. Although the background is a little hazy, I don't think that you can do anything about it, and it's not so important since the attention is on the foreground. |

This is a very appealing environmental portrait. I can see what he's doing and his concentration. I don't mind that half of his face is covered. Even if the image is a little dark (at least on my monitor), I wouldn't change it, because it transmits the right feeling.

It is a nice picture and, to me, the most important aspect is that the added sky looks completely natural. I agree with you that some cropping from the left will help not making the image so centered. I would go until the top of the left mound (as in your Image 2), but I would also crop some from the top (leaving some blue sky on the left) so it's not so square. |
