26 Jan 22 Comment This is an unusual and intriguing portrait. I like it as it is because of the feeling it transmits. My only suggestion is to blur the picture behind him a little, so it doesn't compete with his hair. Jan 12th
26 Jan 22 Comment I must admit, I wouldn't have come to the idea of taking such a picture. It breaks a lot of rules, but rules are meant to be broken. The dark cloud occupies more than half of the image, but it lends a menacing feeling to the image. The bottom fourth is a green patch without much information, but it's needed to frame the church's tower. The viewers see just a small portion of the church, but they don't need to see more. On the other hand, the church's tower is placed according to the rule of thirds and against a clear sky. The only thing that I might change is to clone out the lower cloud on the right touching the field. Congratulations! Jan 10th
26 Jan 22 Comment Welcome to the group, Christine!
It is a very nice photo, which I assume is one of a series you took for the couple. In this sense, it's fine not to get closer to the people. Beyond the fine composition, what I like most is that all elements are perfectly lit, and that you achieved very subtle tones throughout the image.

26 Jan 22 Comment What makes this photo is the perfect framing of the bridge between the trees. I don't see anything to change here: the tones are adequate, and the main subject stands out even if some branches overlap with the structure. Jan 10th
26 Jan 22 Comment Good capture of the bird in the act of feeding. The colors are muted, and the viewer can concentrate on the bird, whose eye is tack sharp. Composition is good and you left enough space on the right. There are two elements that somehow annoy me: one is a dot on the right (close to the frame and 1/5 from the top) that can be natural or simply dust; the other is a kind of sand pyramid on the extreme left below the bird's wing. You may want to clone them out. Jan 10th
26 Jan 22 Comment WOW!! I don't think that you can get anything better than this. It has tension, it tells a story, and it's perfectly lit (I can see a hint of the horse's eye). Also, nothing to improve in terms of composition. This is a top-notch photo just with a dark background, but the starry sky adds an extra element to enhance the picture. Jan 10th
