It's a wonderful capture of a beautiful bird. It is tack sharp and its eye immediately attracts the attention of the viewer. Beyond darkening the trunk where it is standing (Bob's suggestion), I would crop around 10% from the top, to get rid of most of the out-of-focus white circle on the top left (the remaining little part can be darkened). |

Nice contrast between the surfers on the water and the houses in the background. The wave on which he is riding makes the picture more dynamic. I like the colors and don't see anything to correct here. Maybe you don't need so many houses on the background. If you crop from the left (up to the second yellow house) and also eliminate the beach and the bottom wave (which you already did), you could make the surfer more prominent and bring him off-center. |

You captured the moment very well. The helicopter is small in the picture, but it's a key element of the story. I would crop some space from the top, bringing the helicopter closer to the top. I wouldn't crop from the right, since the mountains and smoke produce a nice triangle that contributes to the composition. I was pleased with the B&W version, but I prefer the color one. It gives me more information on what's going on, while the red smoke enhances the image. |

Interesting exercise: to force you to look at the same subject in different ways. I also see the shadow of an iron gate on the floor, although I'm not so sure about the bottom shadow that looks like a stick figure. The B&W option was the right decision. I would have tried to a get a fully symmetrical image, which you can still achieve warping it. |

To me, it is the right amount of panning, which is always difficult to achieve. The background is blurred, and the horse's head and body are sharp. Its legs lend the feeling of motion. I don't mind that her face is a little blurred, since it's a small part of the picture. I like the muted colors. If you crop a little from the right, the picture would not be so centered. You can go a step further and add some extra space to the left, cloning the fence and sky. |

No idea what the green area could have been. Thank you for pointing it out! |
