Lance, thank you very much for your suggestions! The B&W image you produced is really striking, and as you said it looks "very digital." |

The interaction between the two birds is striking, and it does tell a love story. The composition is excellent, you managed to get detail on the female's feathers, and even to get some catch light on the male's eye. I like how the yellow on the male provides a focal point, and how it contrasts with the blue on the female. My only comment would be to try to separate the background from the two birds. I'm not sure how you could do it: maybe through selective blurring or perhaps brightening it a little? |

Thanks for the suggestion of cloning out the other sunflower. I think it can be done without much work. |

The story behind this picture is wonderful. The processed image improves considerably the original, concentrating on the main subject and making the background non-distracting. I would recommend eliminating the brown leaf. Unfortunately, you couldn't get the whole caterpillar in focus (macro and large aperture). Although the most important part (the head) is tack sharp, I still would have liked to see the whole bug in focus. |

The sunburst is a high point of the picture, but not the only one. I especially like the layers of mountains and the trees in the foreground providing for depth of space. The clouds are magnificent, and you cleverly framed the image with the tall tree on the right. Congratulations! |

I don't have much to add to the acclaim of others in our and from other groups. Composition and colors are impressive, and I strongly prefer the color to the B&W version. Not sure that you need the person at the bottom, but that was you decision. I agree with Belinda to get rid of the black triangle on the top right corner. |

Everything looks perfect to me, including the darkening of the flowers. I agree with others that you could leave a little more space on the left when cropping (crop more on the right to keep the vertical ratio). Other than that, I would make the twig on the left coming from the butterfly less intrusive, maybe by darkening or cloning it out. |
