I don't know how the original was, but if I have something to criticize is that the image looks over-sharpened to me. For the rest, everything is right on the money. I like the position of the flower on the lower right corner, and the color contrast is very appealing. I don't mind the shadows: on the contrary, they lend a natural feeling to the whole picture. |

I like the contrast (in color and form) between the houses and the mountains on the background. Basically, you have incorporated two triangles, with a rectangle at the top; so, very geometric. It might be my screen, but I would lighten the reds of the roof a little, not much. Also, what about cloning out the two white cars parked in the middle of the photo? |

There are a lot of geometric elements (triangles, squares, rectangles, curves) in this picture, but somehow it doesn't look too busy. In a way, they complement each other. Even the tree on the left adds something to the image. B&W was the right option. The only thing that bothers me a little is the rail on top of The Barn, but you cannot do anything about it. |

Very interesting image of what looks like a run-down area. The buildings complement each other, and they certainly tell a story. B&W works well here, although I'm intrigued about the color version. My only comments are that: (i) I find the vignette too strong and would diminish it; and (ii) that I would make the bricks of the right structure lighter, except that they are charred, and you wanted to show it. |

You wanted to convey an otherworldly feeling, and you managed to do it. It's a wonderful picture and the amount of smoke is the right one. I like how the leading lines bring the viewer to the main subject (I'm perfectly happy with the right to left lead). B&W looks better than the original, and the cloning you did on the lower right doesn't show. However, the picture looks over-sharpened, especially the foreground, but this is very easy to be undone.‒ |
