The composition is fine, and it produces a good environmental picture: the animal in its natural setting with the mountains in the background. However, the image is way over sharpened. It shows everywhere in the picture: in the mountain, in the guanaco, in the bushes in the foreground, and in the strange colors you got. Since this is a digital capture, it's easy to dial down the sharpening tool and obtain a much better result. |

It's a very delicate image where the white vignette contributes to the mood. The composition is very good, with the stem moving from the bottom right to the center, which is the focal point. The colors are right on the money. Having said that, I would have preferred a sharper stem (the large aperture shows in the picture), which you could have achieved with a smaller aperture and increasing ISO. |

I would make the brush (tree) much darker and increase the contrast. |

Yes. I thought it was a tree. |

It looks like an over-processed picture, but I like it! Not in spite of the over-processing but because of it, which produces a very sharp high-key image. Composition is very good (perhaps a little too much sky? but not much) and I agree with your cropping, since I don't need to see the whole barn to understand the picture and you got rid of the annoying trees. One suggestion: try to bring more contrast (black) to the tree on the right, or just delete it with some extra cropping.

The composition is very good, and you nailed it with the figure at the top, who provides scale and depth to the picture. I am not so convinced by the tonalities in the background. You are photographing in the mist, but it doesn't show the moody atmosphere to be expected from that kind of weather. It just looks bland. One option is to try to enhance the mist effect. Another could be to bring more contrast to the background. It's your call. |

It is a very interesting sculpture, but as others have said: it's not easy to get something different photographing someone else's art. Yes, perhaps looking for another angle of view could make it more dramatic. Not so sure about the green reflecting off the trunk of the sculpture: it does provide an unusual element, but it looks like something stuck to the tree that doesn't belong there. |

Except for cloning out the two stems at the bottom, I don't see how you can improve this image. The composition flows from the bottom left to the middle right, and everything says "winter." It's incredible how you got the wonderful colors in the river. The added sky looks totally natural. One additional observation: the trees on the left are perfectly straight, but the ones on the right tilt (to the right). Is this because of a wide-angle lens? Most obvious is the trunk touching the frame ¾ up from the bottom. Maybe you want to straighten the right half, or at least delete that trunk. |
