The only thing I would change, which I don't know if it's allowed in nature competition, is to clone out the out-of-focus shoots showing up on top of its antlers and its neck. For the rest, I find it a striking image wonderfully showing the animal's behavior. |

I would go for a cropped image concentrating on the droplets, which although not having reflections contain very interesting patterns. Cropping the image will eliminate several distracting elements on the top left. As a bonus, you would get a nice diagonal image, going up from bottom left to top right. I don't find the colors over-saturated but muted, and it's good so. |

Good choice to concentrate on the colors and forms of the slot canyon. It's interesting that with only one shot you got everything well exposed (any post-processing in LR or PS?). I won't change anything: the shapes are pleasant, and the orange oval provides a strong focal point. |

Enhancing the colors produced a more powerful image. The composition is interesting, with the diagonal lines of the fence converging into the tree. However, I found the photo too busy. Not so much because of the leaves on the ground, but because the many leaves on the trees that block the trunk, which to me should be a focal point.

I agree with you with cloning the shadow on the bottom left. Since you are at it: what about cloning also the footsteps to make it a perfectly clean image? All the rest looks perfect to me, except that the image is a little oversharpended, but I'm sure this is because the low resolution needed for posting it. |

Thanks for the comments! The original is much sharper. I lost resolution when reducing the file for posting. |
