Another nice picture from Norway. The mountains, the clouds, and the colors make the image. I would try to show a little more from the water and the small islands, opening up the foreground. On the other hand, I would keep the mountains dark, to show only their silhouettes. As Bob noticed, the sky has a greenish tint, which is perhaps natural but seems somewhat strange. |

Welcome to the group Guy! This is a wonderful portrait of the animal, and I'm sure your sister in law will love it. I like it as it is, including the bright spots behind the horse. In a way, they give the picture a dreamy feeling. Although not very disturbing, I would clone anyway the door at the center bottom. I would also "trim" the longer hair coming down its neck. Except for these two minor adjustments, I wouldn't touch anything. |

Actually, all the comments I had on the photos you anticipated when presenting it. As you said, the main subject of the image (also the title) is relatively small and somewhat lost in the frame. The revised version is an improvement, with better colors and some cropping, but still not enough. I wonder if you can crop even more without getting noise (like what Bob suggested). That could be a possible solution. The tone range in the processed version is good, and if you do crop the trees on the left you also get rid of the white spot of the building behind them. |

Very well seen. At first, I thought this was a still life, which would be a very well thought one. I assume that all the elements were there, and that you didn't touch anything. This implies that you had to move around until you found this composition. I don't see anything that you need to change, and the B&W treatment is very effective here. Belinda wanted a little more sharpness in the text; but I'm happy as it is now, since I don't need to read to know what it is about. Also, the grunge filter was a plus. |

Don't change anything from the original composition. It's centered, yes; but here is a strong case where rules need to be broken. It has a feeling of mystery, and even it is a little scary (shattered window), but that's OK. I like the bright light showing in the background, so I wouldn't darken it. My only suggestion is to straighten both horizontal and vertical lines, so the photo looks as if it were taken exactly in front of the window. |

I tried to find noise in the image (ISO 8000), but I couldn't! On top of that, you managed to combine seamlessly three hand-held images. I don't have any critique to offer, only appreciation for the way you brought all the tonalities in the final rendering, and how you treated a very complex subject. It has a lot of elements, and although I would normally prefer simple pictures, here the combination of so many details really works. What do I like most? The collection of subjects (large and small) that invites me to look into each small part and then admire the whole. |
