Very nice pose and expression of the lion!Everything looks good in terms of composition, lighting, and sharpness (plus out of focus background). My only suggestion would be to clone out the tree on the top right, which I find distracting. |

After I submitted the picture, I added some blue tones to the sky: it looks much better. |

Even without the figure, this would have been a very good picture because of the forms and the colors. But with the girl(?) resting on the rock it goes several notches up. I also wondered what that rock looks like, and I would go for a lizard rather than a crock. My only suggestion is to crop from the left and get rid of the small piece of sky, so you get only earth tones with a red focal point. |

I also often use this treatment to get some motion in my pictures. Here you got a good result. It is good that you managed to get a neutral background that doesn't compete with the main subject, letting the strong blue of the car dominate the picture. The only thing I would object is that, because of your position, the zooming produced a quite different effect in symmetrical elements of the car (i.e., the front lights). I wondered how it would have looked like if you were straight in front of the car. |

The picture fits the challenge, so congrats! In spite of all the busy upper part, with the poles and wires, I find the composition appealing. It reflects what a pier with these boats should looks like. In a way, I like the repetition of the structures, providing some rhythm to the image and balanced by the blue keels of the boats. The blue of the sky contributes to the general mood of the picture. |

Short answer to your question: you didn't go too far. In spite of all the pumping-up, the colors look natural, and what one would expect from fall tones. The composition is a little messy, but it fits the subject; something tidy would have looked artificial. What makes the picture are the nice different tones of yellow and brown, plus some green, which you do not have in the original. |

Even if they are very small, to me the elks add to the picture. Without them it is still a very nice composition, contrasting the white of the snow with the blue of the sky and with a lot of geometrical forms. With them, however, I am forced to think of the massive size of the mountains and the harsh conditions where the animals have to survive. I can't recognize what they are, but I know it is a herd, and it's enough for me. |
