A beautiful scene, very well captured. There are a lot of geometric elements, such as the triangles formed by the mountains, and the curves formed by the river. The picture works much better in B&W, since it gives the proper mood. Also, you managed to get all the ranges from white to black, preserving the details of the trees against the mountain. I don't mind the dark cloud, since it goes along with the general mood of the picture. |

A very nice composition, with the right colors. I like the repetition of the curves of the river, the line of trees on the bend, and the road. I agree with others that you might darken a little the bottom part of the picture and perhaps crop something from the right. |

I'm a little undecided on this photo, although the fact that it was used for their website is enough proof that it is powerful. It is clear that you managed to get something extraordinary out of an ordinary snap shot. I don't mind the painterly and the pixelated effects, but I find too much white on the borders of the picture. I would have left more of the trees, tombstones, and grass in the image. But as everyone has said, this is a very striking image. |

It is always difficult to pan, especially getting the main subject sharp. Here the horse and the driver are not fully sharp, but I really don't mind since they are perfectly recognizable. The photo tells a story, and I like the B&W conversion. In terms of composition, I would suggest that you crop a little from the right, to give the impression that the horse has more space to go. |

It is a very pensive portrait, which I wouldn't expect from a pow-wow. The colors are dead-on, and you managed to get a non-distracting background. The composition is also very nice, with the spear providing an additional frame to the person. As Belinda suggested, try to eliminate the band-aid (you said it cannot be done, why not copy part of his middle finger?) and get a timeless photo. |

I'm not going to comment on the possibility of a horizontal cropping, since it was already done by Mervin. As a vertical, I like the green leaves at the bottom, except for the one on the extreme left, which I would clone. I would also eliminate the brown leaf. For the rest, perfect exposure and wonderful colors of a beautiful bird. |
