Adrian, very good eye to crop out the distraction, what a crop and the result is so clean. As mentioned by Pete, the quality of the image is so good even after such a big chop of the image. |

Hi Mark, good framing, the image has characteristics of indoor and outdoor. Since light is even (both window edges are in the light), I agree with Adrian, lighten up the right side of the image to show case the mosaic decoration. |

Hi Emil, good conversion for an ordinary photo. The B&W version is more dramatic, and has mood. Well done. |

Well captured Pete. The depth of field works well on isolating the face. It is interesting that he B&W does make him look a bit angry and it works well on displaying an emotional portrait. |

Hi Pete and Adrian, thank you for your kind words. You are right that it looks like a face from this angle, not sure if it was done deliberately or the shadow of the image. When I was at the location, I can not really see what are inside the crafted holes. They all looked like abandoned storage space to me.
When I processed this image, I found that they all have doors and windows to let in light. Also, some bigger unit have balcony with sitting area. It is amazing to see the details and also intrigues me to search for more information. When I have my camera with me, I don't pay as much attention I should to the tour guide's introduction. I believe each of the opening is dwellings or storage. When I was in Peru, the locals store their grain high up in the mountain as well.
