Hey Pete, nice subject matter and processing of the image. My first impression was, "wow, fishing alone at a wonderful location". How cool was that! Given how many of our outdoor areas are simply over run, this image was a nice capture. Thanks for explaining the location... |

Maude! Good to hear from you. I still have one of your images in my mind's eye when we did your Critique several years ago with your husband in a chair looking at a clear cut forest-talk about profound...
And thank you for the in-depth analysis of my image. You certainly get it and is well explained verbally. This image is part of my Life Forms and when I exhibited several years ago I did a self-guided video of the images. I think you would like it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBWf8CWqlOU&t=6s
Thanks again and keep on exploring... |

Hey Ed, nice and simple edit...Now my eye stays on the boat and house and not that upper corner. I like this subject and composition a lot-very rarely seen... |

Thanks Melissa. The contrast of subjects, meaning the fleeting man vs. rock permanence was my goal. |

Hey Pete, you know that works and makes it more obvious. Few folks see that face in the rocks... |

Hey Ed, very nicely composed and a great subject. You rarely see homes like this and I like the weather conditions of the capture. To maybe improve the image, I would clone out the upper right hand corner and replace with the background to the left-making the mist go across the top. And, I wonder if the hull of the boat can be lightened a tad to show the hull better as there are some nice details there and then crop a little off the bottom to really focus the eye on the boat then the houseboat. |

Hey Melissa, it certainly does assault our eyes and the concept of what's visually "normal" . I am not surprised that the mono version gets more attention as the image is perfectly composed and exposed showing off the details and texture. |

Hey Ed, thanks for the comments. Yes composing for only the rock wall and shadow were very deliberate to minimize the visual information. I have struggled with tiles of this image. I like "intrusion". Lately I have been pondering using "ephemeral" in the title to contrast the longevity of the wall vs. man... |

Hey Maude, was cruising the other PSA groups and saw your image here. Glad to see that you are still pursuing environmental themed images-well done! |
