Hi Catherine, these are nice colors! I'm not sure if these are flowers or something else. Personally, I'd prefer a blurred image of more recognizable objects, maybe using ICM, zooming in while shooting, or blurring in LR post processing. Happy Easter! |

Hi Ling Ling, very pretty tulips! I like the composition with the different colors and the blurred ones in the background at various angles. Usually the closest flowers should be in focus. You could crop off part of the bottom of this image to reduce the amount of black dirt in this image. F/1.8 is pretty large. Also, 1/3000 is extremely fast. You did well to get low to the ground. Good job! You could try focus stacking with something like this, but I think it's usually used for a macro of a single flower. I could be wrong. And I just learned this week that focus STACKING merges the images in my OM camera, and focus BRACKETING creates separate images which I can merge in LR. |

Hi Don, I like your composition and how all of the lines lead to the center of the X where the 2 guides are. It's very interesting to see how wide the Amazon river is from your photo! I recommend lightening the area where the men are sitting and maybe even the long log on the left to lead you to them. You might want to remove the clump of logs at the bottom left, denoise, increase saturation for the sunset colors, and use defringe (lens correction) in LR to reduce the purple in the sand. Looks like a great trip! |

Hi Shari, I think you did a good job of capturing the aging of the car with the heavy rust texture, and you cropped out the yellow bus on the right nicely. I'd like to see this in B&W or sepia tone. Also, I think the two headlights are the brightest objects so they're pulling our attention away from the middle of the photo and the main parts of the car. The headlight on the left is very close to the edge, so maybe you can leave a little more space on that side. You might want to even out the clarity and brightness of the background showing through the windows with the rest of the background. I kind of like the chrome and coloring of your original minus the other cars. It makes me wonder why the chrome so shiny when the rest of the car is so rusted. |

Hi Julie, this is really interesting and different! Very cool. I thought for sure it was done by moving ribbons or smoke. The white looks like sheer fabric, too. It could be anything! And in any color! I think you can have a lot of fun with this project! |

Hi Andrew, Rugby looks like a brutal sport! I don't think it's played here in USA. You captured the moment well, nicely focused, great colors, well cropped. However, I agree with Julie that it'd be helpful to see their faces. Also, there's something strange going on with the clarity of the words on the left blue sign and the trees where parts are blurred and other parts are more in focus. I like Julie's suggestion about just showing the legs - it's very funny! |
