Hi Andrew, thank you. Yes, I can add more space above the heron. |

Hi Catherine, this is a nice abstract. At first I didn't realize it was a boat. The water looks a little unnatural for some reason. I like what Don did to brighten/saturate the colors. It's interesting that the colors in the reflection are very different. |

Hi Ling Ling, what a great capture! You're so lucky to have this near your house! I flew from Maryland to Florida in March to see this and still didn't get to see what was inside the nests. I like the crop and the blue and green colors with the white birds. You might want to darken the whites in the background. Julie is right that part of the birds are blown out. In the future, you might be able to use a filter to prevent that. I'm not familiar enough with filters to know which kind to use - neutral density, UV? |

Thanks, Don. Yes, I used a masking tool to only darken part of the wing and nothing else. I'll submit this to my camera club's nature competition, the biggest competition theme of the year. |

Thanks, Ling Ling! I took this at 1/1000 sec. I love herons! Wow! You're lucky to have seen chicks! |

Hi Don, this is a fabulous photo! It fooled me right away and then I wasn't sure about the one with the red top, either. Hahaha! I agree with removing the tent poles. I also recommend darkening the sidewalk so it doesn't draw attention away from the main subject. Well seen and well done! I've seen pictures of bar stools that have a similar design. Hilarious! I like your title, too! |

Hi Henry, this is a nice image of the beautiful fall colors. I like how you gave breathing room around the main tree in front and the green pine to the left. The trees on the right are okay to be cut off at the edge because they're in the background. I think you'd have a sharper photo if you had used a slower shutter speed such as 1/400. 1/2000 is very fast, and best for fast-moving birds, etc., and can cause noise. Or maybe it's because of how it was exported? |

Hi Julie, very nice image! I love the shape and texture! I also really like how you darkened the black grate/railing or whatever so that it appears smooth. I also like the curves on the left bottom of your original photo, but I'm not sure what you could do to get rid of the bottom right corner of the original. |

Hi Andrew, I think this is a really nice image. The colors are very nice. I like the vibrance and the crop. Would it be possible, though, to add a bit more space to the top left plant so it doesn't look cut off at the edge? If not, then maybe remove some of the plant at the edge and add in bricks so it doesn't appear cut off. Also, can you straighten the bricks along the bottom edge, possibly using Lightroom Transform, but still keep the long metal bars level? |

Hi Don, wow! Thank you so much!!! I'll take your advice and enter this into competitions! I keep chasing all the herons around the lakes from my kayak, and finally I got one just the way I wanted it. :-) Sorry about your guitar playing. |
