Thanks, Catherine! I'll keep the background a little darker than the dancer. |

Hi Ling Ling, this is beautiful! It makes me want to revisit Alaska. It looks like a painting! :-) I'm wondering why your photos are not always sharp and seem to be smaller sized than everyone else's. Maybe you can export your files in a higher resolution? |

Hi Ling Ling, thank you so much! I hadn't noticed that both of his feet were off the ground! Wow! Thanks for your comments. |

Hi Henry, thank you. I wanted to reduce the distraction of the audience, many of whom were wearing brightly colored dance costumes, so the viewer could see the detail of the main dancer's costume and movement. It was hard because of the textured feathers with the spaces between them. I felt the background was very busy, and in fact the whole image was busy with all of the different vibrant colors. |

Hi Don, I really like your posted, processed image. I like how you cropped and processed it and everything about it, although I like Julie's idea of straightening the diagonal line, if you're able to straighten it. I actually hadn't noticed it until I read her comment. I like your posted image better than the one you posted in reply to Julie and Henry. If you can't straighten the line, maybe just leave it. It provides balance at the bottom. I agree with Henry that you are a master at post processing! Very well seen! And I like your title, "Heavy Metal"! |

Hi Henry, I like the processed version better for the saturated colors. I like the dreamy, soft, silky look of the water. The rocks seem a little out of focus. You might want to darken the top left and lighten the path of the water near the top so it doesn't lead you out of the picture. Well done! |

Hi Julie, your photo is amazing! Incredibly sharp! I had to google the sound of a laughing kookaburra - wow, they're loud! I agree with leaving some breathing room on the right. Really great photo! |

Hi Andrew, it's an interesting photo. I would like to see more about the person's environment to know it's in China - maybe some buildings in the background, writing, more of her clothing and hat, or something - although I can understand your reasoning. It's kind of sad, especially with the sewer grate and dirty cardboard behind her. Well seen! |
