Hi Catherine, this is really nice! I like the angle of the fence line and the fog. Don's adjustments make me feel like I'm standing right there because of the clarity and the tone. I think it still has that dreamy feeling. Very nice! |

Ling Ling, wow!!! This is an amazing photo! Beautiful! I prefer it with the blue sky. I like Don's crop and yours, both. Great composition and colors! I think you SHOULD enter this in a competition somewhere! |

Thanks, Catherine. I agree. I think I'll keep the water in just to show it's Assateague. And if I had taken it elsewhere I might have cropped out the water. |

Hi Don, I really like this image. I like the hill, but it's pulling my attention away from the tree, so I think it's better to crop it out. I think I'd put the tree at the right 1/3 line. The color of the green grass is so nice! It's a very peaceful picture, which is what I like best. I kind of like your original photo but with the hill cropped out, because it shows the entire cloud and how lonely the tree is with nothing around it to the right or in the foreground, either, and more nice green grass. But maybe clone out the clump of brown grass in the right foreground. |

Hi Henry, I think I'd like to see more blur in the water to show the motion. Also, I wish I could see more at the top - more of the trees above the waterfall and more at the top left. You might want to lighten a "path" to lead your eye to the waterfall, like creating a leading line. This looks a lot like Great Falls in MD. |

Hi Julie, wow you're dedicated! I'd never go hiking in that kind of heat! And definitely not with all those mosquitoes! You're brave! I recommend toning down the pink tone, though. The tree reflections are nice. But I think it's missing a point of interest. Maybe you could have your husband get in the picture next time - resting against a tree in the shade to show how hot it is, or swatting mosquitoes. :-) |

Hi Andrew, great photo! I like Don's crop. And I agree with Catherine about toning down the green grass in the foreground and about the halo around the head and especially his left ear. You could use Lightroom's linear tool to darken or to lower the saturation of the green a bit for the grass. Maybe lessen the brightening around the ears and antlers. But overall, great photo! |
