Very beautiful! I do like the bluer skies which others have posted, although for some reason I'm seeing their images pixelated. Be careful of the white spots on the edges of the image - top left (tree gap) and bottom right (sparkles?). |

This is a really interesting photo, especially the awesome antlers! I agree that the crop is too tight. I would crop at the left edge of the green on the house and leave a little bit of sky. You might want to dark the area underneath the house to hid the junk (hoses? fan?). You could also straighten the whole house using Lightroom/Transform/Auto. |

Hi Henry, I have been doing a few swipes but haven't liked most of them. I did one of a beach sunrise which came out nice, and I've zoomed in on Christmas lights that came out very abstract and I didn't really like them much. I think you're right that color matters a lot with this. I'll keep playing. Thanks for the information about the book and podcasts. |

Hi Don, hold onto that expensive tripod! I think it'd actually help with ICM if you can use it to more smoothly swivel up (or left-right) than hand holding. A lot of my attempts came out jagged because I couldn't hit the shutter button AND move the camera smoothly exactly up without zigzagging or going diagonally. |

Thank you so much! I shot this at 1/40 sec, f/18, ISO 100. I looked for 3 trees with separation so you can see the snow between them, and nothing horizontal in the foreground. Then I held the camera still, pressed the shutter halfway to focus, then pressed the shutter down while jerking the camera straight up without going diagonally at all (very hard). I tried jerking the camera fast, slow, etc., and every photo was different. I wanted a smooth, silky look. |

I was going to suggest adding a tiny bit more sky to the top and also darkening the bright yellows in the tree, but now I like what others have said about taking out the tree and putting the yellow wall off center. I don't know. I think the tree balances the centered yellow wall. Even in the square versions of the image without the tree, the yellow wall is almost still in the center. |

I love this photo just as you have it! I think the blues and whites in the tablecloth are complemented by the same colors in the snow, lake, and sky. I also like the subtle orange coloring of the petals. Is the lake really that close to your house or is that a separate photo layer? |

I also like the color original better because it provides more information as to what I'm looking at and because the colors are so nice. I think I'd prefer a little less blur and a little more detail. I'm also learning how to do ICM (in camera motion). It's taking me many tries to get an image the way I want. |

I also like the original photo since it shows the whole top hat and part of the train in the background. You could dark the bright spots (windows) on the train in the background of the original so it's not distracting. I wish the 3 people were looking at you, especially the woman in blue, but you can't have everything. The colors are nice and bright, and the clarity is excellent. |
