This is a wonderful photo Carole. The bare tree in front of all the orange leaves is such a stark contrast. I agree that because you were on an incline below the trees they are all the more imposing. I might bring the saturation of the sky down a tad - you would still have the complementary colors, but the trees (the stars of the photo) might pop even more. |

Thanks Bunny. I can see where you are coming from on the orange color, but I don't want the inside of the pot to overwhelm the bread. I tried introducing a much lighter shade of the orange into the inside of the pot, but on the fence about how I feel about the results. Maybe I'll feel differently tomorrow; I'm amazed at how often my opinion changes about a particular photo the next day! |

Carole thanks for the suggestions! I completely agree with taking out the white spots on the countertop.. I didn't crop because I felt the space around the edges would have felt too cramped. I tried to introduce more of an orange tint to the inside of the pot, but I'm not thrilled with the results.i posted my updated photo in my response to Bunny. |

Thanks Lisa. I completely agree about the blue and orange combination. I did a little editing based on suggestions, see the photo in my response to Bunny. |

Nice photo Lisa, and it captures a lot of the nuanced shading between yellow and orange. For me it's almost a textbook example of why I have always been a little confused between the orange/ blue complementary colors and the opposing colors represented by the yellow/ blue white balance sliders in any color editing program. |

This is a wonderful image Bunny, very effective. It's hard to believe it's a photograph and not an impressionistic piece of art. It's also a great example of different tones of both blue and orange. |
