Thanks Connie. It was won of the more enjoyable places I've photographed in. |

Thank you Lisa. Good catch on the silhouettes on the right and I also see your point about the little girl. This might be a good photo to go back and play with a little more. |

Thanks Carole. This aquarium was particularly well lit and seemed easy to photograph with no reflections anywhere, which made me wonder if they designed it at least partly with photography in mind. |

Wonderful capture Ally. What an exciting thing to experience! Your focus is just where it needs to be.
I agree with both Connie and Carole about the distracting background, especially those bright blue areas of the sky behind the tree. The nice thing about those kinds of issues is that they are relatively easy to fix in post these days. |

Lisa, what an adorable image, and thanks for the backstory about twin baby elephants. You caught the elephants at a good moment with some separation between the two. You also got nice separation between the elephants and the background elements, I assume through some editing. Nice focus, so sharp and no motion blur although they are clearly moving. Being able to see that textured hair makes me feel like I could reach out and touch them. |

Nice photo Connie--exposure looks good as well as focus and the processing you chose makes it look very bright and clean.
Thanks for the extra details about how you processed the image. I tend to stick to some of the more basic blending layers in PS such as soft light, overlay and multiply but I want to start experimenting more. It looks like hard light was the definitely way to go with this photo. |

Welcome to our group Bunny! I like the way you framed the elephant group, and you caught them at a good moment as they're spread out for the most part with not a whole lot of overlap between each family member. I do like the way Carole edited the photo to make the elephant group stand out more against the background. I look forward to seeing more of your photos. |

This is a very well-executed photo from lots of different perspectives. Framed nicely, the pose you caught keeps me looking at the photo. Great focus, and full of many different textures. There is not a lot of color in it, but it doesn't matter because all those textures differentiate different areas of the photo well. This might look good in black & white as well, but I wonder if the eyes would be as compelling. Great image! |
