I wasn't in the ring! There was a double (maybe triple?) rail around it, and I was shooting between the rails. Another reason I had to shoot from a low angle. |

That's a great question about what that is in his back pocket! It sure does look like a knife - maybe to cut a rope if necessary? |

Ally, this is a very intriguing photo that pulls the viewer right in. Like the others I prefer the color version and also Joan's crop, I think because the woman is more immediately apparent. In the black and white version I had to look a minute before I saw her. Everything works so well with all the lines, nice capture. |

What an interesting and fun photo! All the curved lines draw my eye directly up to the points of interest, first the whirligigs, then that perfect starburst. The clouds are also great and pull everything together. Before I read your description, like Carol I thought those whirligigs were real airplanes. I might suggest cloning out the part of the plane in the bottom right corner of the image, but I had to look a while before I even noticed it so definitely not a big deal. |

Lee Ann, what a great idea to shoot this particular perspective of a flower. You've really captured the textures and color gradations on both the stem and petals of the lily. The light in the photo is understated yet effective. The black in the upper left corner of image is a distraction,, so perhaps cropping or reducing the darkness in that area would help. Nice work! |

Connie, this is great! I like the way the glass table softens the lines of plate and tableware, the curved lines of the table and plates work well together and give the photo a peaceful feeling. Very creative! I would suggest cloning out the small white circle and dark spots just below the white plate and above the black table rim, and perhaps leave a bit more space on the left side of the small brown plate. |

Carole, I see several things that work in this photo. The diagonal lines of the stonework and the angles of the green leaves give the photo a lot of upward energy, that complements the upward angle of the shot. The yellow and red colors in the tulips work well with the rusty color of the trees in the background, and the stonework has a reddish cast. The tulips are clearly the subject. I pulled a copy into Lightroom and pulled out a tiny bit of red and yellow and some of the blue; if you lower it any more I think those tulips lose some of their charm.
