Absolutely up to the artist! You should create what is pleasing to you. Sometimes a comment might make you think of something you had not considered, which I find quite often! It's up to the artist to decide if their image is what they had in mind. |

Thank you! Light tables are so much fun and are great for macro and flower shots. |

I flipped it so that the heaviest part is at the bottom. I like that you brightened it, so I increased the brightness. |

Cute bug! Maybe darken the right side of the image and the hot spots on the petal just under the bug. Here is my version using a radial gradient in Camera Raw. I also desaturated the cyan, cloned out the hotspots, and burned the brightest areas. Looking at 100% you got great detail on the bug! |

Great idea to use a tarp! It's now on my wish list.
Iris is one of my favorite flowers. The dew adds an artistic look and I like the lighting. Overall, a nice sharp image! I'm not a fan of the extra spots, but I'm not sure if I would remove them. What distracts more for me is the sharp contrast between the brighter yellowish background and the darkest shadows. Not sure if it is an improvement.
In Camera Raw, I brightened the "tongue" (it's been a long time since I took Botany), and warmed the iris up just a little. For the background, I increased the shadows a little to help the darkest areas blend a little better and added a little magenta to help the yellows blend with the flower.

I like how the sun on the grass leads me to the couple, which are nicely framed by the trees. I agree with Bob that the brightness on the right is somewhat distracting. While the sidewalk doesn't add anything, cropping above it would remove too much of the sunshine that creates the leading line. Could maybe clone out the sidewalk? Not sure it would be worth the effort though. Overall, nice image. |

I like the silhouette. To me, the sun and sky do not look natural, but this may have been the look you were going for. For my rendition in Photoshop: Using a brush with the sun selected, I added a hint of yellow to the sun. Then selected the sun and put it on a separate layer, used a gaussian blur to soften the edges. I then selected the rider and ground by using color range. Moved that selection up so the rider was in the sun, and cropped. |

I was just telling a friend today that my phone sometimes does a better job than my camera (or at least it's easier with the phone). I like the symmetry. Nice sharp image! Might also look good with a square crop. |

I like your capture of the calf looking at the world while feeling safe under its mother. I might try darkening the ground so the calf's face stands out more. |
